thyroidstory.mivox.com was started as a simple blog dealing with my new diagnosis of hypothyroidism. Topics include medical information about hypothyroidism, information about hypothyroid medications like levothyroxine (Synthroid) and Armour Thyroid, as well as natural supplements like Thyromine, vincopectine and various vitamins and minerals. The site has now expanded to include discussion forums where other hypothyroid patients can discuss their experiences with hypothyroidism, and share tips for what medications, supplements and weight loss strategies have worked best for them.

Well, the posts are all migrated, and the software is all functioning properly, so welcome to ThyroidStory.mivox.com v.2.0! You can visit the first post in the forums for an idea of what's going on around here now: How to Use This Site. You'll have to sign up with the new system before you can post in the forum, but it's free and I promise I won't send you spam! ;-)

Haven't decided what to do with all the old blog comments though. Here's what I've been considering so far:

1. Create an "archive" blog, and post each 'thread' as a blog entry, with a link at the bottom to the new discussion boards.

2. Create a "comments archive" category in the forums, and post each 'thread' as it's own forum post, with comments closed and a link to create new forum threads at the bottom.

3. Troll through them all, find the few longer "stories" that some people posted by way of introduction, and create a "my story" forum section, with those posts to start with ... and archive the rest of them in one of the above two ways.

4. Keep the whole old site as its own archive, with all comment posting turned off, and everything linking through to the new site.

Any other ideas?
