I think I am suffering from an iodine deficiency. I made the stupid mistake of drinking the juice of cabbage and broccoli before finding out that these vege are goitrogenic.About a week or two ago I started to have a tight feeling in my neck, joint pains and a dry mouth. Ever since I have started taking natural iodine supplement from kelp.I also did some iodine patch test with povidone iodine USP. I have some questions here. Is povidone iodine the same as tincture of iodine? Is it safe to use.
