i need a holistic doc. ect.anybody?

thyroidstory.mivox.com was started as a simple blog dealing with my new diagnosis of hypothyroidism. Topics include medical information about hypothyroidism, information about hypothyroid medications like levothyroxine (Synthroid) and Armour Thyroid, as well as natural supplements like Thyromine, vincopectine and various vitamins and minerals. The site has now expanded to include discussion forums where other hypothyroid patients can discuss their experiences with hypothyroidism, and share tips for what medications, supplements and weight loss strategies have worked best for them.

Here are some online holistic doctor directories. You probably need to find a few in your area and call his or her office and ask if they accept the insurance you have.

My ins. covered part
Submitted by Terri on Saturday, 21 October, 2006 - 2:53pm

Hi antoinette.
I was concerned about the same thing but to my surprise after my nutritionist submitted the cost to my ins. company (blue cross blue shield fedural)they paid part of it. My husband and I had decided either way, we were spending so much money going from doctor to doctor, and my health was just getting worse, that we would figure out a way to pay it before my body was beond help. If you can find a way, its well worth it. I dont know what state you live in, but I live in Maryland and go to Dr. Shamim. He was so tired of the way the medical community worked, he switched to natural wellness in the 70's and got a lot of negative press from the medical comunity at first, but that changed when his patients thrived...some of these were patients had been given a very grim outcome by other doctors, and they are very healthy today. I met so many people in his waiting room that shared their testimonys with me. Some were "dying" cancer patients who are now caner free, and feeling great. I started going in July, and already have seen many wonderful changes. I am so glad that I took that path. Its been a true blessing that he is only 10 minutes away from where I live. He has patients that come from many different states. I am one of a very few that live close to his office. I hope you are able to find a doctor that works in holistic care.
