Disappearing Posts ...

thyroidstory.mivox.com was started as a simple blog dealing with my new diagnosis of hypothyroidism. Topics include medical information about hypothyroidism, information about hypothyroid medications like levothyroxine (Synthroid) and Armour Thyroid, as well as natural supplements like Thyromine, vincopectine and various vitamins and minerals. The site has now expanded to include discussion forums where other hypothyroid patients can discuss their experiences with hypothyroidism, and share tips for what medications, supplements and weight loss strategies have worked best for them.

Not sure what's happening there. I know if you're not logged in to the site, you can't comment on forum posts ... but beyond that, I'm not 100% sure what's happening. Unless something's happening with the "post preview" function? I'll change the settings so previewing your posts is optional, and hopefully that will take care of it!

Hi Mivox,

I lost two or three posts using the wrong link to post a comment. I went up under my login name on the left colum. They seem to take when I use the link above and to the right of the other comments. I'm getting "Access Denied" for some "Recent Comments," now. Namely Vitamins and Minerals.

The links under your login name in the left-hand menu are just for posting new threads ... the link to reply to a particular post or previous comment is always below the post or comment you're replying to. :-)

I'll check the site access settings about the "access denied" errors though. A registered user SHOULD be able to leave a comment on any blog or forum post, as well as start new forum topics!

Gah.

There are like three layers to the permission/access system here. *sigh* So, just when I think I have everything sorted out, there's one niggling thing left somewhere else that's contradicting it. *grumble*

I think it's all fixed now though. Thanks for the specific info, Ariadne! Hopefully that's the last of the problems sorted out!
