Switching to Armour and blood pressurethyroidstory.mivox.com was started as a simple blog dealing with my new diagnosis of hypothyroidism. Topics include medical information about hypothyroidism, information about hypothyroid medications like levothyroxine (Synthroid) and Armour Thyroid, as well as natural supplements like Thyromine, vincopectine and various vitamins and minerals. The site has now expanded to include discussion forums where other hypothyroid patients can discuss their experiences with hypothyroidism, and share tips for what medications, supplements and weight loss strategies have worked best for them.
Hi, I'm new here so sorry if it's already been discussed. Since I've been hypo my blood pressure has been a little on the high side (125/80-130/85). I've been on Levolxyl for 10 weeks and added Cytomel 2 weeks ago. Recently my bp has been creeping up. This morning it was 135/88. I'm getting worried. Although I've been feeling better overall I think these meds are not dealing with the fluid retention very well. The morning bags under my eyes have been actully getting worse (my sodium intake has not increased) and the sleep wrinkles litterally take hours to go away. I've heard Armour, probably due to some unknown element, is better at reducing excess fluid than synthetics. I was wondering, has anyone else had trouble getting bp and excess fluid down with synthetics and found that switching to Armour resolved the issues? add new comment | previous forum topic | next forum topic | quote |
